VFW Post 2894 Day of Service

 Members of VFW POST 2894 along with members of Chesapeake VA Boy Scout Troop 413 team up to help an elderly, disabled, widower Navy veteran who can no longer maintain his home to get his yard back in shape by mowing, spreading mulch, trimming trees and bushes, pulling weeds and trimming edging around his house and driveway.  Plus hauling away all of the clippings and blowing off his driveway, sidewalk, porch and deck.  

Veteran Tony Gross was all smiles and very happy once the work was completed. We were as well and the team walked away proud of our work and knowing we were able to help a veteran in need!!!
